Overview
Data transmission can occur because the optical fiber
can memramisikan light waves, and the data to be
transmitted dititipkan on the waves of light. This light
does not come out of glass fibers because the
refractive index of glass is bigger than the air bias
index, also the optical fiber mechanism itself that does
not let the light out.

How Fiber Optical Works
The basic principle of fiber optics is transmitting the
light jets that propagate within it.
In single-mode optical fibers, light does not reflect
on the core walls. Just walk straight and there is only
one light beam.
While in multi-mode light bounces on the core
wall, and there are some light rays that bounce.
When light radiates on a surface with a sharp angle
(below 42⁰), the light will be reflected. It’s like a
mirror. The result will be different if the rays come
from a 90 ° angle, where the rays will pass directly
out of the glass.
